I love the Kimana Sanctuary, its only 40 minutes from Amboseli National Park, but there are so many great shots to be found in this little sanctuary that you can’t get in Amboseli National Park. Like big acacia forests, majestic views of Mt Kilimanjaro and the feeling that you’re the only person out there. On this morning safari I came across these zebras in some long reedy type grass, the light was made soft by a thin layer of cloud which worked perfectly for not getting grass shadows on the zebras. I deliberately wanted the grass to be out of focus and mottle looking so that the zebras stood out. What a great mornings safari.
